CGPA Calculator for Philippines
Calculate your GWA (General Weighted Average) using the Philippines's 1.00–5.00 scale (1.0 = highest). Credit-weighted as used by UP, Ateneo, DLSU and other CHED-accredited universities.
The Philippines primarily uses a numeric grading system (1.00–5.00) where lower numbers are better. GPA/CGPA may appear as "General Weighted Average (GWA)". Credit-weighted; credits called "Units". Pass mark typically 3.00 (or 75%). GWA shown to two decimal places.
- Grades: Numeric (1.00–5.00) or percentage-to-numeric. Lower = better.
- Credit weighting: Each course has "units".
- Weighted Grade: Numeric Grade × Units per course.
- GWA: GWA = Σ(Weighted Grades) ÷ Σ(Units). Cumulative GWA across all courses.
