Ugandan universities use GPA and CGPA based on letter grades mapped to grade points, typically 5.0 for undergraduate programmes. Documented in public and several private institutions. Credits: "Credit Units" or "Credit Hours". Pass mark 50%. Some private institutions use 4.0. GPA/CGPA shown to two decimal places.

  3. Credit weighting: Grade points earned = GP × Credit Units.
  4. GPA/CGPA: GPA = Σ(GP × credits) ÷ Σ(credits). CGPA across all semesters.
