Bangladesh 4.0 Grade Scale (UGC)
Universities in Bangladesh commonly use GPA/CGPA on a 4.0 scale, guided by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses are credit-weighted, credits are called "credit hours", the pass mark is typically 40%, and GPA/CGPA is shown to two decimal places. These are the grade points the calculator uses:

How CGPA Is Calculated
- Grades: each course gets a letter grade (A+ to F) from your marks.
- Grade points: convert each letter using the table above, for example A = 3.75.
- Credit weighting: grade points earned = grade point × credit hours.
- GPA/CGPA: GPA = Σ(GP × credits) ÷ Σ(credits) for one semester. CGPA uses the same formula across every semester so far.

What CGPA Is First Class in Bangladesh?

Can a Bangladeshi CGPA be converted internationally?
Yes. Because Bangladesh already uses a 4.0 scale, many universities abroad read the CGPA directly, but credential evaluators such as WES or UK ENIC may ask for your transcript and grading scale and make their own conversion.
